Summer Virtual - 2nd/3rd/4th Grade

 

Working to keep the kids reading and writing all summer long and improve their literacy skills, fun games and hands-on activities are used to practice and promote learning in the areas of reading comprehension, writing, and word work.  

Summer lessons include:

  • Meeting objectives in reading comprehension (active reading, making connections, predicting, find the main idea and supporting details, summarizing, making inferences, reading and following directions, visualizing)
  • Writing better sentences and paragraphs
  • Improving word choice
  • Spelling
  • Word attack and much more.

Weekly newsletters and at-home work is provided all summer long and includes information and activities in the areas of reading comprehension, writing, and word work to help the kids practice the strategies that will continue to strengthen their literacy skills even while out of school during the summer months.
